cast# 330817 ID# 0n front deck TO421CTY can anyone help tell me what year this motor is.It has 2 bolt mains and only 2 freeze plugs on each side.Heads are 882.Thanks for any help.

Without a specific reference book in front of me, I can tell you that CTY is a car block. It is my understanding that truck block codes begin with a T. 2 freeze plugs on the side mean a '74 or newer 2 bolt main block. '70 throuh '72 blocks are all 4 bolt main. '73 through '80 are all 2 bolt main.

According to Mortec.com its a 1972 to 80 400c.u. 2 bolt main block from the 330817, Found CYT at Nasty Z/28 as a 1976 400c.u. 4bbl 175hp

CTY is a 1976 Impala 400 - 175 hp with TH400 trans, 4 bbl carb, RPO LT4, VIN code U.
