I have a 67 with the following numbers.
12E D
ST67 12437 Nor 65555body
tr 741z RR
W 2MG 3L 4P 5B

Vin# is....124377n164499

I looked them up from past posts but want to be sure of what I have.
The rear quarters are bondo , and the door bottoms are rough, interior is dirty but no rips. not the original motor or trans.
Is this car worth putting a lot of time and money into? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..My first camaro by the way...
Thanks a lot......

Paul,
This is how your car decodes:

1 = Chevrolet
2 = Camaro
4 = 8-cylinder engine
37 = coupe body
7 = 1967 model year
N = Norwood, OH assembly plant
164499 = vehicle serial number sequence

Decode for body number: 065555

12E = Built the Fifth week of December.
67-12437 = Standard Interior Coupe.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
741 = Standard Red Bucket Seats.
Z = (A50) Strato Bucket Seats.
R-R = Car Color is Bolero Red
D = Interior paint is Red

Options:
1W = (A02) Tinted W/S only
2M = (M35) Powerglide Transmission
2G = (D55) Console front compartment
3L = (Z22) Rally Sport Pakage
4P = (L48) SS 350
5B = (V31 & V32) Front and Rear Large Bumper Guards

As far as is it worth fixing up? It really depends on how much of the car is there and how much you want to spend on it. Also what are your gaols for fixing it up? Are you trying to go for original? That is going to be hard without the drive train. On the other hand if you want to put a modern drive train in and go with a classic look it might be a good one to do it with.

Thank you for the info, I think I will peel some of the paint off and see how bad the rest of the body is. I have a friend that has a set of the gm fastburn heads and the matching cam,how hard would it be to install these with a tpi unit? would I just need the computer?

Paul,
You asked: I have a friend that has a set of the gm fastburn heads and the matching cam,how hard would it be to install these with a tpi unit? would I just need the computer?

I know you need sum sort of control for the tpi. Past that your beyond my expertise. My car is all original except for the 2004R and I still have the original Powerglide that was in my car.

You might want to post your question in the engine forum.
