I have finally had time to crawl around my car to get some numbers. It has been cold in Wisconsin. I bought a 69 camaro recently and want some info. vin number 124379N641618 any way of telling if this car has been entered in the database already? Someone could have entered it with more original parts than i have. Car is missing engine and transmission of course. trim tag
ST 69 12437 NOR 324126 BDY
TR 711 59 B PNT
05 A X - 22
12 bolt C BM 1107G2 D 31 9
hopefully I have an original RSSS big block car. orig interior was in car has X 2 on rear seat bulkhead and that frost green is all over the place.... WOW. 4speed car? pedals, console with guages, zbar all other appropriate linkage, bellhousing, etc. has non matching muncie and 454. no tach, disc brakes, multi leaf 5, also has a lot of rs qualities: all the grill equip, light switch, rear tail panel cutouts have not been hacked out. they look to be orig. what else to look for to be a real rs? Trunk lid has spoiler holes cut in very nicely almost seem factory, but no D80. Was D80 always partnered with rear spoiler? I have seen some awful holes cut for rear spoilers. hopefully not too much for you guys to tackle, have i missed anything? thanks alot J

Here is the decode for the vin, tag and axle:
1 = Chevrolet
2 = Camaro
4 = 8-cylinder engine
37 = coupe body
9 = 1969 model year
N = Norwood, OH assembly plant
641618 = vehicle serial number sequence
Decode for body number: 324126
05A = Built the First week of May.
69-12437 = Coupe.
NOR = Built in Norwood Ohio.
711 = Standard Black Bucket Seats.
59-B = Lower Color is Frost Green and the Vinyl Top Color is Black.
X22 = SS396 with style trim
BM1107G2 = 3.31 12 bolt non-posi built 11/07
I don't think that the axle is original.
Kurt will have to check to see if your car is in the db.
