Are you sure the last number is not a 9, or a 1? Also, what you are calling the engine build date, looks like a VIN-- L is Van Nuys assembly plant for Camaro. The engine assembly date would probably begin with V for Flint. Look at the numbers again, and post your findings. We'll try to help. Mark C Jul 30th, 01, 05:12 AM The 010 block was used beyond 1975, at least into 1979. The 10L518233 looks like a 1970 partial VIN for a Los Angeles built car, but its not a Camaro VIN.
