The build date and paint code look correct for a pace car. You might want to post the vin# so people from CRG can match the vin and body number. Roger

It could be, but I question the paint code. Could you post or e-mail me the vin#?

Looks like it. Date is right, interior code is right, paint code indicates a dealer car (not at the track in 67), and the dash on the last line.

I don't have the VIN#. I will try to get it tomorrow.

What does the "dash" after the 4P mean?

DASH = Blue nose stripe

The dash does not mean blue stripe, it just means that the car was a special order of some type.

Dash definition per John Hooper's 1967-1968 reference book page 255:

All documented pace cars have the dash at the end of the forth or fifth group of options on the trim plate. This designates the blue striping pattern.

I am still trying to get the vin #, hopefully tomorrow. By the way, how will the vin # verify that it is a pace car.

Bill what Daniel means is that dash can be found on other cars so it is not exclusive to the pace car or the stripe. Hooper should have worded that just a bit better.

ROTFL. I'm sorry, I don't take anything in his books too seriously. Lots of errors, some good pictures though. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Does the car have a fleet code. The cars I have seen or owned have had fleet codes such as norwood built 050A, 061A, 062A,070A and La built L181A. Were they built without them?

Answered my own question...Yes some were built without fleet codes.

I have been trying to figure out what the dash means also. I have a 67 Yenko Camaro that has 2L 3SK 4K - (dash is last) on the trim tag. I know the original owner of the car who said he remembers it had the white nose stripe and pin stripe so I don't think the dash was for special paint or stripe delete. The paint code is E E (deepwater blue). I also have the original receipts from Yenko showing part numbers for conversion to 427. I know Yenko did batch orderers on his Stinger Corvairs and 69 Camaros but I cannot find much info on the 67 Yenko Camaros. I am not sure what the dash on trim tag represents.

Joe58,
You might try www.yenko.net (http://www.yenko.net) for information and resources on your '67 Yenko. The guys that frequent the board over there have a wealth of knowledge about the Yenko cars.
