Hi all,
Finlly found a 427 for that 69 Camaro "tribute" car that I am building. Can anyone help with identifying the numbers? The deck pad is stamped "TO309IL" and smaller to the left on the pad is "6113665" is this ths VIN?

On the back cast into the block is on the left, "3869942" with a "P" under and horizontal. Above is "GM1" (?) On the right rear is "HiPerf".

I was told that it was a 427 out of a 67 vette 4 speed. I look on the net and found that the IL is for a 66 or 67 vette, but could fond no other info on this block.

It came out of a 66 chevy impala running mid 11's and is complete. I bought it for $2,200.00, it seemed like a good deal at the time, what do you think?

"3869942" =
Was put into 1966/67 Passenger and Corvette as both a 2 and 4 bolt block. HP rating were 385/390/425 for the passenger models while the vetes had ratings of 390/400/430/435 and 425.
