The layout of the tag is not correct but it was the best I could do over the phone.

First question is why did he remove the trim tag For what reason ?

Without the Factory attached Trim tag he will never be able to prove the cars real worth , Aftermarket Rivets are not the same as the Factory ones so the tag even if he finds it will look replaced and make the car questionable.

124377 indicates its an 8 cylinder coupe.
V111ANS, not a valid code number No N coded Camaro engines, only assembly code engine with an S is MS which decodes as:

The MS can't be correct being a CA car and since the transmission matches it's either the wrong motor or the info was delivered way off and should be MV or MN, or something like that.

I don't think that it can be a 350 engine anyway with a 10 bolt axle. You need to recheck all of the numbers and post again.

I wonder if it's a V8 at all.
If it's a 12337 VIN, the engine code could be AN, L26 with powerglide.......

He is not the type that is all that concerned about it being original. It is now smoothed and shaved.
I tried to get in touch with him in order to see what mistakes I must have made but he was not home. I did see the car before it was painted and it had a small block, rs emblems/ hideaway lights, power mirror, side dome light, 10 bolt,3 leaf, and was gold. I will get more info...correct info and post it.
He has all the vin tags and trim tag, but he hasn't found the box that he put them in.
