I have a question regarding the factory installation of chambered exhaust on a 1969 Z/28. The chassis broadcast sheet from this car lists "FM" in block #198 as the factory exhaust. The build date of the car is 3rd week Feb 69. The car had a chambered system on it when found. My questions are.... what is the correct code on the chassis broadcast sheet for chambered exhaust, and, does this build date fall within the time frame that chambered exhaust was offered?? Is there any way to tell if this car came with this system, or if it was installed afterwards??

I can't prove it because I don't have a broadcast sheet for a known chambered exhaust car, but FM is a common exhaust broadcast code which I've seen on several SS's and Z's. So I'd assume it is for a standard dual exhaust.
And yes, chambered was still an option in February.
