Any help with these numbers would be appreciated. I'm fairly sure this is a '50's era tranny as it's cast iron but I have no idea what it's out of.
Tail housing: 3880042, GM11, B87
Main housing: 3858986, B167
Cover plate: 3858992, B147
Thanks in advance,
John

Those casting #'s don't appear to be 50's castings..possibly 67...??? most 3 speeds were cast iron

68RS406,
Thanks for the info. Big help. Got a friend with this tranny in an early '60's pickup with a column shifter and he wants to convert to a floor shift and needed to know what the tranny came from. Thanks again!
