Hi!

Can you please tell me what heads i have on my Camaro ? I removed the valves covers and noted this number :
3917291 T GM
0217

On my rear end, I have th following numbers looking from the front of the car (under).
GM 58 3894859NF

I have worn rear axle bearings i have to change, these are close to the drums, and I guess the type of axle and beerings are linked with the diferential .

Thank you for your help.

The rear is the factory 8.2" 10-bolt rearend. You need to look at the FRONT edge of the passenger side axle tube for a very small stamping. You might have to sand some paint and grunge off first. It could be anywhere along the front edge of the axle tube, but try closer to the center section first. It'll be about an inch in length and start with 2 letters, 4 numbers, and then something like G1 at the end.
Take a look here for an example.... http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#RearAxleNumbers

The bearings aren't difficult to change. You have to remove the axles first, then borrow a seal puller and a bearing puller to yank them out of the axle tubes. Change the seals as well.
