THE OTHER DAY YOU FIGURED OUT MY PARTS CAR PERFECT. I JUST FOUND MY PROTCT-O-PLATE IN ONE OF THE MANY BOXES OF STUFF THAT MY 68 PROJECT CAR CAME WITH. I WAS HOPING YOU COULD HELP ME WITH THIS ALSO. I PRIMARILY WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF REAR END & GEARS, ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. IT READS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, LEFT TO RIGHT;

T8D16 BOW TIE SYMBOL

From the top, E= black interior color, 02 = color, 0=Corvette bronze, 2= black vinyl top, 124378N417883 = VIN, R= carburetor source, Rochester. V0416ME= Engine #, V=plant, Flint. 0416=April 16, 1968. ME=327-210 h.p. with power-glide. BP0417G= axle code. BP=2.73:1 ratio 0417= April 17,1968, G=plant,Detroit gear&axle. 4= month of manufacture, April,1968. T8D16= Transmission code, T=Toledo plant, powerglide V-8, 8=model year 1968, D=April, 16= sixteenth day. hope this helps. Chris

The POP looks OK. I'm assuming that this is a different car from what was posted before?

Was a trim tag posted on another thread?

Rich, please look at his 12/1 post. That trim tag does not line up with this POP.

Reread his first post above, I think the POP is for his project car and the other trim tag was from his parts car, hence the difference. That's the way I interpreted it anyway...

Now I get it. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif I didn't pick out the difference originally.
