Looks like a 3:07 from a 68 - but, the "9" throws me - you sure it's not a 'G' for Detroit Gear?

Harlan what year camaro? PG is listed for 67-68-69 as different ratios for all 3 years.
Look for the casting date numbers that are stamped near the pumpkin and then repost with the year of car too.
Then we can decode it for you.

How about this, Number off the center section pointing to the front.

3894860NF..

I'm hopeing this is-can be the original 12 bolt posi for my 68 SS big block car. The motor and trans are long gone hopefully the rear remains.

Thanks, Harlan.

Close - at least it's a 12Bolt from a 67~69!
"Click" is refering to the casting 'Date Code' that is stamped into the housing.
You can find this 3 to 4 digit number stamped into the housing by looking to the Bottom Right of the rear cover. It is usually stamped on the web area just below the machined area for the cover.
The stamping will have a 'Letter' for the month, one or two Numbers for the day and then a Number for the year - 7=67, 8=68 & 9=69. (eg; A128 = Jan. 12, 1968)
An "8" would tell you it's a 68 rearend.

I based my guess on the most common 'PG' decode for these rear's - your's could be something else.

Hope this helps - post back if you need more info.

Yes, it's a 68 12 bolt, 3.07 posi.
Built March 20th. Does that match your car's build date?
