Little help with this... It came with some 69 stuff, I know its not a for a Camaro but I do not know how or where to look it up. #s 6356 on one of the narrow sides and 190451C on the wider side. The Hurst and patent number stamping also. The shifter knob threads appear to be fine.
Thanks Team

Sure looks similar to a Camaro unit to me. Does that picture show the handle as a push in type? No bolts? There is no offset on the handle though. What is the number on the handle?

Steve Serio is the Hurst shifter God. Contact him through his website at Precision Pontiac (http://www.precisionpontiac.com/hurst.htm).

Looks like a A-body part, but I'm not an expert.
I figured out a shifter I had by comparing it to a Hurst catalog. The offset and length of the shifter levers is unique by application.

The first picture shows a curved reverse lever coming out of the shifter body. Mopar is the only one that used that style...Hope this helps...Crash

Thanks guys I will try to contat Steve.
The handle is the press in type and I have never tried to take one of these out. Not sure how it is done.
We use to throw away the stock shifter because "there junk" if anyone remembers......

Okay here was Steves reply,"Hi, the shifter I see in your pics is a stock "factory" shifter from a 1969 Plymouth or Dodge B-body car. i.e. a Charger or Road Runner with a bench seat".

I was looking over Steve's Hurst web site and he has some nice info there but he has a picture showing the 70 and 71 Camaro as having the same Hurst shifter which I believe is incorrect. The 70 and 71 Camaro Hurst are close but not the same.
