Need a little help Please. What application is this Alt. for? PN 1102913 8E2. It is a 61 amp Alt. Any help would be appreciated.

If from a multitude of 1978 GM cars. All 'A' body cars, Regal, Malibu, Lemans, Sunbird etc.

8E2 is the manf date code
8 = 1978
E = May
2 = 2nd of May

Thanks Elcamino I was afraid of that. I was hoping for it to be a 68, but too much to ask. I could not find the numbers for this as the info I have only goes up to 69.
