You can find the original VIN stamped down inside the cowl on the passenger side. You'll probably need to clean it inside there to be able to read it, but it's there.

There are only two choices for the rest of it. Your complete vin should then be 123379N602320 for a six cyl car or 124379N602320 for a eight cyl car. Have to look for clues to tell you which it is as the begining part of the vin isn't stamped anywhere

The VIN would be different if it's a convertible. Is it a hardtop or convertible?

The trim tag style defines it as a coupe (the trim tag style is accurate on this account - just not with regards to the engine), so there is only one digit of the VIN that is unknown.

Good point. If it was a convertible the fourth digit would be a six rather than a three. However this car should be a hardtop per the cowl tag. You can't tell a six cyl from a eight cyl using the cowl tag because the 12437 on the firewall will not change from the six cyl to eight cyl models. But the fourth digit, just like the vin, would be a six rather than the three. 69 cowl tags only have two choices in that position on the cowl tag. 12437 for hardtops and 12467 for convertibles. If someone handed you a cowl tag only to a Camaro you could tell if it was a hardtop or Camaro.
