No. Not that I know of anyway. I once had a guy tell me that the 69 z/28 he had came from the factory with a special order th375 auto trans!!!I didn't buy into that either.

The 3851325 looks like an early Muncie casting # (65-66).
I vaguely recall a M23 trans. I think it was made in the mid-70's. But I'm not sure if that nomenclature was used by GM or by rebuilders. I don't have any references here to look it up.
There also was a TH375. But it was never available in a 69 Z and it was made in either the 70's or the 80's.
I believe they both existed, but they are newer stuff and I don't know much about them.

3851325 is a '64-'65 Muncie main case. The numbers you need to identify it are stamped on the passenger side, vertical flange at the rear of the main case where it attaches to the tail housing - one will be a "P" followed by 4 numbers (the Muncie date code), and the other will be either 8 or 9 digits - VIN derivative which will tell the model year and assembly plant it came out of. There was no such thing (from GM) as an M-23; the only way to tell for sure what it is is to pull the side cover - if the input shaft gear has 21 teeth, it's an M-20 - if it has 26 teeth, it's an M-21 (unless all the gears are at a 20-degree angle instead of the normal 45-degree angle, in which case it's an M-22 - highly unlikely).

Oops, I was off a year, going by memory.
I looked it up. The M23 was mentioned in a Muncie article in a old issue of Super Chevy by a tran rebuilder (not GM). Re-reading it, he was referring to the 70+ Muncies with the fine output splines, which is just a design change, not a new model #. Just nomeclature that someone made up. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
