my car originally had a 250w/powerglide tranny. all that is gone, except the tranny. i added a nine inch ford and a big block, now the driveshaft is about 2" short. is there a camaro driveshaft that will bolt in or do i have to get it lenghtened ?

You will have to have the driveshaft lengthen. Ask your driveshaft shop about what measurements they want, then measure the new length of your new shaft accordingly.

Shouldn't cost more than $75,maybe. I went and had mine done, I went to the larger turbo U-joints cause of the diff I had installed was from a 70-81 Camaro.

Getting a new drive shaft made may be the prudent thing to do. The length must be dead nuts on... the chances of finding one are next to zero. As far as lengthening.... eek. Usually they cut the ends off and make a new tube. Normally, that's a good time for ne U-joints anyway. I'm pretty darn sure that by the time you monkey with having the ends chopped and getting it re-tubed, you're VERY close to the price of a whole new drive shaft. If you were simply having it shortened, it would be a no-brainer because you get to re-use the same tube. So... call around and see what the price difference is. I had the same issue, but mine was only 1/4 too short. It might as well have been 2 feet short as far as cost was concerned. I had a whole new shaft made with new ends and U-joints for $180.
