Can someone tell me what trans (4spd) I have.Casting #3885010. I belive its a muncie,but whats the difference between M-20,M-21,and M-22? I have a 2:56 rear and its so slow off the line I suspect first gear on the trans may also be to blame.

It's a 66 Muncie, you are correct it is either and M20, M21 or M22. You need to provide more info such as the number of input and output splines, any rings on the input shaft, diameter of the countershaft pin (either 7/8" or 1")

Look on the passenger side at the rear of the main case, on the vertical flange where the main case bolts up to the rear bearing retainer and tailshaft - there will be a five or six-digit number stamped there starting with "P", and there should also be a 9-digit VIN derivative stamped adjacent to it on the same surface. Post those numbers and we can tell you more.
