Some COPO's were X44. All other B/B were either X22 or X66. Check for the driver side ehxaust hanger reinfrocement. (1 O'clock in the rear wheelhouse) If you have that, look for other evidence of COPO, like curved neck radiator, BE code rear, evidence of one time single fuel line (check clips and sending unit)
If you have any of the above, you can get real excited about your potential find, and we can hook you up with the real experts, for further verification. In any case, you have a nice ride.

Question to the experts...Did all the COPO's have D80 on the trim tag?

No on the D80. Many COPO's didn't have spoilers.
The axle code is located on the passenger side axle tube. Look under 'Decoding' on the CRG website for a great sketch of the location. This is key to verifying the car.
The plate is about 3x5, mounted (welded) on the driver's side rear frame rail, near the rear shock? If you are next to the rear tire, it should be visible just rearward of the tire.
Let us know what you find.

On the framerail drivers side there is 2 holes about 3 inches apart. It has a single fuel line but has clips for 2.

So there are 2 holes in the frame rail, but no plate. So it was a single exhaust car, not a COPO.
I would still check to confirm what the axle code is, just to make sure.
