67rs6sdd Feb 27th, 02, 04:53 PM no its not a RS only a SS but with a 3 spd?
HawaiianCamaro Feb 27th, 02, 05:11 PM If its only a SS model and the back up lights are like you say mounted in the rear lower valance then its the wrong tail panel. Only the RS Option had the back up lights below. All non-RS models included small reverse lights in the center of the taillights.
From the CRG pages
Note that X11 and X44 codes also included L26 230ci/130HP-1BC and L22 250ci/155HP-1BC 6-cylinder engine cars, as well as models equipped with the LF7 327ci/210HP-2BC, L14 307ci/200HP-2BC, L65 350ci/250HP-2BC, or LM1 350ci/255HP-4BC engines. The CRG will not attempt to refute or list all of the incorrect interpretations of the X11 code that have been (and still are being) wrongly quoted. I would check the front end again and see if there are any RS indicators. My reasoning behind that is its easier to change the front fenders than the rear tail pan. Unless a whole rear clip was installed to a car that was wrecked in the rear.

1967 Panther Feb 27th, 02, 09:30 PM 3-speed manual was a HD unit and standard on SS..It's probably an RS, someone just swapped the front end..
Kurt S Feb 28th, 02, 07:42 AM Don't see many SS cars with a 3 speed.
The trans should have a code stamped right next to the side cover.
What's the VIN?
Let me know if you get the rear axle code.
I'd be checking for the vacuum line hole and other RS details....
Thanks!

Kurt S Mar 3rd, 02, 08:43 PM Thanks!
That trans #, A209, looks like a casting date, Jan 20, 69.
There should be a stamped code on a little pad beside the sidecover, should be like H9A20.
2 fuel lines with that build date indicate SS.
RS - hole in firewall for vacuum lines?
