67 Z/28 on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4528941707&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)

Is this car for real? Does that tag look original and is it in the CRG database? I'm thinking about bidding on it.

<Knock, Knock, Kurt, Dan you listening?>

BTW does anyone know who the seller is, goes by the name Zedder on Ebay?

Yes, the car is real. Zedder's web site is:
Z28 Network (http://www.67z28network.com/)

The guy wanted 140K Canadian last time it was offered, so I hope no one is looking for a steal.

Wrong car Mark, you are talking about the "other" '67 Z that is on ebay :D

I think my car will sell for a little bit less than $140,000 ;)

Mark

I think you are mistaken. This is not the red car you are thinking about. That car is basically a driver quality car and may be worth 50-60K tops. It was in worse shape than the one mentioned above before the guy restored it. The one above can be had for a decent price, I know the owner and he is being very reasonable.

Zedder, whats your reserve please?

Cruise, It wouldn't be fair to others to reveal the reserve, but I will say that it is not too far off where the price is currently and it is far below what the last 3 rollers have sold for. Super solid car if you're not afraid to hunt for parts.

As a side note, one of the current bidders called me today and said he thinks the car came fron NC. He gave me a name of a guy and I'm trying to locate him. He apparantly owned an identical car in the late 70's early 80's and it sat under his carport for years. He swears it is the same car smile.gif

Not to offend anyone and a little off subject but why does it matter what the reserve is?

I respect that, thanks Mark.

I guess I never expected there to be 2 67 Z28's on Ebay the same week. I posted without even looking at the car linked above, or who was selling it.

Here's the 140K (rumored) one:

Here's what the red one looked like before the guy restored it:

Ironically, I remember that car from my home town when I was a teen. It had a steel tilt front end and was owned by a fellow in the seedier end of town. None of us guessed it was a '67 Z back then...

I guess everyone knows my reserve now! :D
