I have a '69 Camaro SS, VIN# 124379L518165 that I am restoring and want to know more about. Can anyone tell me a good book on Camaros that would let me know how many like it were made, options etc. (e.g. it has gauges on the console which I have heard is rare).
Additionally, what's the best way to find out its worth. Thanks.

I too seek info like this, but i think 69's are easier to get info on[ mines a 71] the big book of camaro data is a good starting point. good luck.

If you post this in the Trim Tag section along with your cowl tag info, some one here will be able to give you all the info there is on your car. WELCOME to one of the BEST sites on the net.

sftibbs, what you have there is a 1969 LA built Camaro. VIN breaks down as...
1 - Chevrolet
2 - Camaro
4 - V-8
37 - Coupe
9 - 1969 Model
L - Van Nuys (LA) assembly plant
518165 - 18,165th Camaro built at the LA plant during the 1969 model run.
As stated above, please post the numbers off the Trim Tag and we can tell you more....
