As I understand it the Norwood exterior car colors that were standard were not all standard for the LA cars.
Would the cowl tag code show the same code as Norwood or would it show as a "special order" code? Were these two plants usiing the same codes?

Norwood and LA cars used the same cowl tag codes for paint. A paint delete car would have -- on the cowl tag for a paint code. Not sure how a "special order" paint job would be designated.

Only difference was on the window sticker, where you'd have to pay a charge for the non-standard paint.

Non-standard paint would carry the -- at the pnt location on the cowl tag.

Special order paint would cause that, but non-standard paint would not.
Non-stardard paint is a color that is available on that model, but that specific plant doesn't normally carry it. Take a look at the original post.

Kurt, So are you saying that LA didnt carry all the colors that Norwood did?? If so which colors did Norwood have and which did VanNuys have?

I've seen a list somewhere that shows the exterior and interoir colors that were standard for the two different plants. From what I can remember Norwood offered just about all the options.

Is this listed on the CRG site?

This is from a list I have for '69 Camaro paints. LA Special Order paints were: Tuxedo black(10), Butternut yellow(40), Dusk blue(51), Burnished brown(61), Burgundy maroon(67), Dusk blue/Glacier blue (51-53), Glacier blue/Dusk blue(53-51) & Burnished brown/Champagne(61-63). Norwood S/O paints were: Butternut yellow(40), Champagne(63) & Burnished brown/Champagne(61-63).
