Hello,

I have checked the Mortec site for the following numbers and all I can find is that it is either a 302 (I wish), a 327, or a 350. The numbers I have are 3914678, 190186727, and VO403FB. The engine only had about 1000 miles on it before I bought the car.
I am starting to re-assemble the car and would like to know a little more about this engine before I drrop it back in. I know it isn't original to the car, but it ran VERY strong even with the 1.74/1.50 heads on it (btw, those will be replaced with some AFR's soon).
Any and all information will be appreciated.

FB is a 327 out of a 1969 passanger car (like impala, caprice, etc.) rated a 235 hp stock. Also had a powerglide trans. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

I had the exact same engine and if it a 2 bolt, she's a 327 which I bet yours is.

Thanks Ratchetmaster and Camaroguy. Camaroguy, how do you like that engine? Did you do any hi-per mods to it? I have a Comp Cams XE268, AFR heads, RPM intake and carb, headers, H.E.I., and a 3.73 12-bolt ready to go in as soon as time permits.

Thanks Again,

John

I ran it with 462 heads, Comp Cam 280 Magnum cam, and an Edelbrock 600 carb and it was very strong.
