I have a question about OEM Hurst Shifter Dating.
I have a 69 Camaro shifter and it is stamped 19D51C in the Body by the Lower mounting Bolt. I can only take this as

1 = chevrolet
9 = 1969
D = April
5 = 5th day
1 = 1st. shift
C = Clevland

I have another stamped 190511C. (unknown origin)
I also have a 70 Z shifter- 0500431C
I also have a 75/76 TA shifter-0270922G

I remember reading articles on shifter dating but they never seem to make sense to me. I know 3 of the 4 shifters are original and know were they came from. I was told the shifter dating changed in 70.
Can any one either post their 69 shifter numbers or maybe explain the dating?
All bodies are stamped 3138 on the forward face of the body.

Thanks in Advance!

I believe the first number is the month and the second number is the year. So your examples would be Jan. 1969. 19D51C, 190511C
Other ones I have seen close to yours are 39D216, 590711F, 29041P, 39D120, 19095E, 19D33H, 39D12K
I have not figured out what the other numbers are but the first two look like the month and year. The other numbers could be Hurst serial number or tracking number.
