A friend of mine has a '69 Z28 and needs help decoding the following info.
Here is the trim tag:
ST69 12437 VN 198108 BDY
TR725 65 F PNT
12B K656
He doesn't know what the K656 is...
Is the two VN letters normal? I would guess that's the assembly plant location.
Have you guys ever heard of a gold car/ black stripes with green interior?
Thanks for the help!!!

Here is how it decodes:
Decode for body number: 198108
12B = Built the Second week of December.
69-12437 = Coupe.
VN = Built in Van Nuys California.
725 = Custom Midnight Green Bucket Seats.
65-F = Lower Color is Olympic Gold and the Vinyl Top Color is Brown.
K656 = internal plant scheduling code.
The VN is normal, you might want to look at: http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#CowlTag
Could you post or e-mail me the vin# for CRG's data base?
Thanks,

Not an uncommon color combo, gold and green, just don't see many that way now.
Esp with a brown top. That might look good!
If you could post the VIN, we'll make sure that it matches the trim tag.

Theres a long time frame between the engine build date and the car assenbly date (2 months) but being a Van Nuys car I believe that's possible.. The rear is the same situation..2 month difference..

The rear looks a little early, but OK.
But the engine is earlier than I'd expect. Does it have a VIN on the block?
And is the code on the tag K656 or K565?
