WOW..this is truly a fantastic site..had to say it...
I just bought a 67 camaro ..vin is
124377n164499 can you tell from this if it is a true SS? and it also has all the rs options, but how do I determine if this a real ss rs? Body is rusty, not original motor,and needs new rear quarters. If it is a ss rs...how rare is that? and is it worth spending the money to restore it? I love this body style, so it would be fun for me anyway. thanks for the help.......

Paul,
Your vin decodes like this:

1 = Chevrolet
2 = Camaro
4 = 8-cylinder engine
37 = coupe body
7 = 1967 model year
N = Norwood, OH assembly plant
164499 = vehicle serial number sequence

To really know more, you need to post your trim tag info. The trim tag is located on the fire wall above the master cylinder.
