CNE - 1970 Nova, Chevelle, Camaro 307/200hp with Powerglide trans.

Check for a casting number on the drivers side rear, behind the head, on the bellhousing flange. There should be a number like 3970020. This will help confirm it. it does not appear to be the original engine.

Post the casting number and we'll go from there.

1CW183654 the c is a 0 (zero)
1=Chevrolet Division
0=Model year 1970
W=Assembly Plant Willow Run, Michigan
183654=Serial number

JI031CNE the J does not match any engine plant, F=Flint Motor; T=Tonawanda Engine Plant; K=Mckinnon Industries; V=Flint Engine; S=Saginaw Service
J=?
10=Oct
31=Day
CNE=1970 307-200H.P. 2BC used in Camaro, Chevelle, Nova

BTW-Nova's built at Willow Run, not Chevelle's or Camaro's.
