I was wondering if one of you guys could tell me what the number off of my rear end meant. It is a 10 bolt off of a 69 Camaro and I believe that it is a 2.73. Is it an 8.2" or 8.5"? Here is the number: BP 100G2

As the book says it is a 2.73:1 gear ratio. The G correct me if I'm wrong is the plant code for detroit gear & axle a Date?

She's right. As far as 8.2" or 8.5", do a search on the archives here. There's a couple different ways to tell. I'll be willing to bet it's an 8.2" rear though.
