69-Z11Pacer Dec 6th, 04, 04:03 PM Anyone know the part number for 67 - 69 keys?
I think they are different between the years.
I got a set from Ebay (no part numbers) (for 67) ...but can someone (maybe my GM dealer) make them from the original Key Codes? Has anyone done this?
Also how would you know which code goes on what key?

69-Z11Pacer Dec 7th, 04, 03:29 AM Thanks Vintage! I looked on CRG, but didn't see that. That's exactly what I need.
hugger_sixty_nine Dec 7th, 04, 04:36 AM Bill,
I am a locksmith by trade. You can have the keys cut by code from your local locksmith. If you no longer have the codes, you can remove a door lock and the trunk lock which will have the codes stamped on the side of the locks. Keys for 67 should be A/B sections with the small head. GM only offers the square head now in the A/B sections and they will work, just look bigger.
If you need any more advice, contact me. I also have the original key blanks.

Thanks for the additional info. I did not know the codes were stamped on the side. I have thrown away a few locks figuring that it wouldn't be worth sending them out. Now I know I could have saved them...
I may contact you about some original blanks.
Again, Thanks!
67CruiseMasterCamaro Dec 9th, 04, 06:43 AM Hey Graeme, I just looked at my locks and I found the door numbers, but there wasn't one on the trunk lock. How can I find this number? Is the trunk lock the same as the doors? What about the ignition and glove box? Are they stamped with numbers too?
JohnZ Dec 9th, 04, 01:41 PM All the original lock cylinders were stamped with the key codes; the full car lockset came in a zip-apart plastic envelope from Briggs & Stratton. One side of it (for Fisher Body) had the door and deck lid cylinders with one set of keys, and the other side had the ignition and glove box cylinders for Chevrolet installation with the other set of keys. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
csn69ss Dec 11th, 04, 02:16 PM The doors and deck lid uses the same key on my car.
Ignition and glove box uses different keys, so that would make it 3 different keys in two sets?
Mark C Dec 11th, 04, 03:08 PM Someone changed your locks. Doors and ignition use the square head key, trunk and glove box use the round head key.
csn69ss Dec 11th, 04, 04:53 PM I remembered wrong, my fault, I never lock the car - quess thats why I forgot.
The doors and the ignition uses the same key (square head).
The glove box uses the round head key. But my trunk has its own seperate square head key - seems like the trunk lock has been changed.
Are the glove box and trunk supposed to be the same key? My keys are all GM mark of excellence and they look kinda old.
Since I have the key, can I then get a new trunk lock cylinder to match? I could get the number of the glove box lock cylinder. Who makes the lock cylinders?
