1967 Camaro without original motor.
Is it possible to find out if a car is a SS or RS or other by the #'s on the firewall? My car which I just bought and am trying to restore has:06E on top of plate, then
ST 67-12437N0RR144908 BODY, then on next line
760-Z 0-G PAINT, then on bottom line
2B3SK. On the driver's side door panel plate it has: 123377N244570 with Chevrolet DD above this group of numbers. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
THanks

Joe

The VIN indicates its a 6 cylinder.

06E indicates it was built in the fifth week of June 1967.

The O color code indicates a special paint color (could be any color) the "G" is probably a 6 indicating a white vinyl top.
760-Z is black standard bucket seat interior.
2B is for a 3 spd floor shift
3SK is for the Z23 deluxe interio package and Z21 deluxe exterior trim package

The DD above the VIN is a location for the dealer to affix the original owners name with a dymo type label. Stands for "Dealer Delivered"

It is not an SS or an RS.

Could you recheck and post the paint color? Sure it isn't G-G?
