I have a friend that took the rear end out of his 1969 Camaro and is trying to find out the numbers and ratio. The numbers do not match up to any number in the Chevy by the numbers book I have up to 1969 so I am guessing it is out of a later model Nova. It is a 10 bolt posi with the numbers JDG 320 2 1 on the axle tube. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

JD is a 75 3.08 Nova Axle

the whole code JD G 320 2 1 decodes as a 3.08 open axle made in the Detroit Gear Plant on March 20th on the 2nd shift.

The last character should be a - for no positrack, or one of the following letters for the various posi units, D,E,G,O, or W.

It will measure 60 1/4" from the face (where the wheel bolts to) of one drum to the face of the other if it's from a 68 to 79 Nova.
