I recently purchased what is supposed to be a RS/SS 70 camaro. The badges on the side of the car read ss 350 it has a CRE correctly date coded small block in the car.The car seems to be a unrestored original complete with the grunge and grime.I've read that a true SS has Z27 stamped on the trim tag which my car does not but it does have the correct coded SS motor and all the emblems and such seem to be original. When the RS and SS packages were used together was the Z27 code still used on the tag? Thanks.

Was the car built in NOR or LOS? It does make a difference. I Have a 2nd Gen cowl tag decoder program if you are interested, I can e-mail it to you.
