Found a 69 CONVT for sale here that the seller says came orginally with a 350 /3 speed/ Car has a 10 bolt posi and has front Factory disc brakes??? He also stated it is NOT an SS. Could this be a LA built car that just wasnt coded as the NOR cars. Also asking price is $4500 OBO.
As always thanks for any help.

Jeff, that convt sounds pretty reasonable to me if it runs decent and isnt trashed all over. Plain converts I looked at in the midwest were all well over $10,000, most approaching $20K if in very good condition.
Id buy it right now if it were close to me and start building a stable. Overnight it snowed 6" here, my Tahoe was outside as I scurried to make room in my 3 1/2 car garage for all 3 cars, hehe. Wife helped alot moving her rummage sale stuff. Now all 3 are tucked away for the -5 degrees coming tonight. Its 65 degrees in my heated garage, well worth the expense of building it.
I was in Hawaii in 1980 for honeymoon, but suppose its changed alot since then.

Jeff, Front discs could be ordered on any car, but were mandatory on SS's. I second the motion, if the rockers are not rusted out, buy it. $4500 for a convert is a very good price.

Called him again since i had to replace a fan belt on the old K car (got to have something for work and parts) Im taking off work early tommorerw and taking a look at it. he said there was body work done to it but it still makes a good driver. What i think is neat is that its a Burnished Brown Convet. Havent seen one of them yet.

Cowl tag

no other codes on the tag. He coulndt get to the VIN since the car was locked and his wife has a dash cover on it and the registration was in the glove box.

Good thing is my wife doesnt mind if I pick it up We have 4 Camaros already 3 1st Gens and he 2001. Got a feeling she will want the CONVT when it does get done if i get it.
