i own a 71 ss,it has an l48 270 hp 350,wide ratio 4sp,3.42 posi,power brakes. it is black with a black int.the car has 36000 miles,and is completely a numbers matching car[minus w/pump,plugwires and wheels]what i want to know is,does anybody have a source of info for rpo codes without having a build sheet or protecto-plate? also seeking info on correct color of underhood peices[brackets,fuelline clamps etc.]also looking for an aircleaner lid,mine is chrome and is smaller than z-28 style,any ideas?

thanks,been there,but i already have decoded the trim tag, and have checked all casting numbers and date codes using chevrolet by the numbers books.i guess i'm looking for an answer from gm, like the service gm of canada has for vin numbers.thanks again.
