I just want to know how heavy firstgen Camaro's are. To be more specific, a 67 Camaro with a 350. What would you guess the weight would be?

I've heard 3200lbs a lot. 3260 was the shipping weight for a 67 with small block and I think no air, with full tank and spare tire.
I have an old weight for my 67 sb on a truck scale, don't know how accurate it is. It was 3260 lbs. Later it was 3400lbs after I did some mods like four wheel discs, 12 bolt rear, 8" mags, wide tires, stereo, aluminum intake with headers, dual turbo mufflers, multi leaf springs with larger sway bars front and rear, thicker radiator core.
I had a full tank and spare tire, jack, 10 lbs of tools.

I agree with David. This topic has come up before. The concensus was about 3,200 lbs. for a SB car and 3,400 lbs. for a BB car.

The title on mine claims that my car weighs 3440lbs. in stock trim with a full tank of gas. The car is a 327 with PG trans and 10 bolt rear originally.

3312LBS. with me and a 1/4 tank of 108 Cam2, i weigh 175-180. this is a 68,350th,10bolt rear,4 wheel drums,no power steering,all steel (flat hood too)and a smallblock... but very close to a 67.

I had a 69 Z/10 with a 350 and factory power windows,PS,deluxe interior and factory air. The compressor was not on the car and it weighed exactly 3165 without me in the car and about a 1/4 tank of gas. Being a Z/10 it had the RS package also. The car was also modified with an aluminum intake and headers.

Mine is rather portly at 3620 with me in it(180 lbs). It is a fully loaded RS/SS 350 with A/C, PS, 700R4. Still has the full size spare tire bumber jack etc in the trunk. I couldn't believe it when I rolled across the scales at Houston Raceway Park and saw 3620 lbs. especially since it has aluminum heads on the 350.

My 68 weighed 3150 with a fiberglass hood and no front bumper. 6-71 blown 350, TB400 and 12 bolt without me in it. After a diet, back halved, glass doors & trunk lid it weighed 2700.

I just weighed mine and with 1/2 tank of gas it came in at 3180. The car has 10-bolt rear, multileaf springs, 4 wheel disks, aluminum intake, original exhaust manifolds, all steel body, original interior, TT 2 wheels with good sized rubber, and a TH350. Not too shabby I guess.

Anyone got a weight for a 10 bolt?
I'll swap you for a 12 bolt weight. - 185 lbs with drums, positraction.
Power steering weighs 44, manual 16.5, so PS option adds 27,5 lbs.
A cowl hood adds 12 lbs over stock.

I'd say a 10 bolt's about 150 or too heavy for one person to lift. I can slide the old junker across the floor though.

Talk about a tanker, my 68 RS Convert. with a th350 and 427, aluminum manifold, stock exhaust at the time, full size spare, 30 lbs worth of tools and me at 200 lbs, was 3940 lbs.

What effect does weight have on my 1/4 mile time? I have heard something like .10 seconds for every 100 lbs. Is that right?

I have the american thunder kit with dual delta flow's. Shipping weight on the box was 78 lbs. I did not weigh it to verify, but my other car has a 3" system from TA performance. The pipes alone weighed 70lbs. The mufflers are heavy as hell too, I have the 3" 30 series 3 chambers, 5 X 10 X 17. I didn't weigh them cause I didn't want to know.

I always thought my car's shipping weight was 3050lb. But have never weighed it. I will once I get it on the road so I will have a more accurate weight for my copy of Desktop Drag. pdq67

PS, I can see a "tall" glass hood and bumper as well as an aluminum W/P later to lighten up the front because of the BB over the SB. Plus extra weight of disc's all around.

My 4 wheel power disks from Aerospace Components actually weigh less than the drums did.
