I can get a 1966ish C-60 for free.It has a 427 motor in it. Is this the tall deck type motor? I wasnt sure if GM made different ones that early or not.The price is right,but if I cant use it,I'll let it go.Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure that would be a tall deck. You can get spacers for the intake so you can use a standard height intake. I've never heard of anyone doing this, but maybe could machine the .4" off the deck. Not sure of other differences in the block, but I'm pretty sure it would have the heavy duty rods (not dimple, but strong) and steel crank.
