My 69 Z/28 RS window sticker says that the car came with Med. Green cloth trim(5722JB). However the cowl tag says black houndstooth interior(713) which it is. I'm I reading the window sticker wrong or was this a mistake that often occured? Thx for any answers!!

This may be a stupid question, but did you check to see that the VIN's match on the sticker and the car? One would think that GM would not make a mistake like that, but I'm sure it could have. Maybe post all the #'s off the Body tag and VIN. Chris

Either a mistake or a forged window sticker

Never heard of medium green cloth trim in a 69. The only ones I have seen are 721 Vinyl Standard and 722 Vinyl Custom. Houndstooth is the only cloth custom trim and it came in Black, Yellow ,Orange, And Ivory. Might want to check on that window sticker and see if the ink is still wet.

The reason is because the window sticker is a repro. Lots of little errors all over it.

Kurt S, Thanks for the info. Could you tell me exactly what is wrong with the window sticker ie. med. green cloth, size of type etc. Your help greatly appreciated.

Font is wrong, form is a repro form, VIN # should be stamped, no dealer code, etc. And I didn't go thru the option and ECL codes.
