I'm looking at some heads for my DZ302.They are supposed to be off the engine that came in the car I'm dealing on.The car is a 69 Z-28 build date is 02D(4th week of Feb.)What casting #'S and date codes should I look for? Thanks!! Cary

I believe that the casting number should be 3927186 = 69-70 302/350 64cc, accessory holes

The date should be about a week or so before the car was built. Probably early to mid February or possibly very late January.

The heads should be shortly before the engine assembly date. Since the engine can be dated a month or so before the car's assembly date, go off the engine's date. My engine is March and the dates off the various components range from early Feb-mid March. My car is April and the trans is Jan! All this matches the P-O-P so I know it's correct. If you don't need the heads, let me know, I'm looking for a set of 186's from Feb or Mar.

Thanks for the info Guys!! I just bought the car tonight!!! All the #'s checked on the Heads,Block,carb ect.I am now the proud owner of a 69 Z-28 R/S.I'll post a better discription on a different forum. Thanks again for all your help!
