A buddy of mine just bought a shell of a camaro. The body seems good and the vin matches the title, but the cowl tag has been removed. Is there any way to find out what this car came with from the factory. The car is stripped but I know it has 4 leafs in the rear that I believe they are org. It had a manual on the floor, 160 speedo, smallblock, bumperettes. I know it wasn't an rs, but maybe a ss or Z (would be nice) Does chevy have any records of vins and what options they had. I don't think so but you know what they say about not asking questions. The car is stripped of all the good pieces that may give clues to what it had orginally.VIN is 124377l19055. Thanks for any help. Also has a factory wing,pb,ps

No 67 ever came with multileaf springs - so someone added them.

No 67, Z28's included ever left the factory with spoilers.

The VIN indicates it was an 8 cylinder coupe. Where does thespeedometer cable go thru the firewall, tunnel side or fender side of thesteering column?

Unless it was a Canadian sold car (not very likely since it was made in LA) then chances of GM having records is Non existant.

One good thing about LA cars is that usually there is usually a chassis build sheet taped to the top of the gas tank on the drivers side. If it's there that will give you the best info available.
