Sorry but need your help again. Should my 69 X55 have rocker panel mouldings? X55 was pretty void of chrome trim. Thanks again. This site is GREAT!!

No, the rocker trim molding was part of the Z21 (Exterior Style Trim) option.

A little clarification here ???
'X55 in Iowa' - are you refering to the lower Rocker Panel Molding(s) below the Door(s) on the Rocker ???
The Bright Rocker Moldings were a 'Standard Feature' with the Rocker also being painted Black on RPO-Z21 equiped cars and on some SS models with or without RPO-Z21, with the exception of 5 or so dark colors. Note that Pace Cars didn't get black rockers either.
Even the "Plain Jane" cars got some 'bling' around the front and rear windows and on the sills...
You could refer to www.crg.org (http://www.crg.org) for more info.

Yep, I'm talking the lower moulding on the rocker itself. If I'm reading this correctly then the odds are my car would not have came with them. Beginning the restore but the car has been painted crudely once and is covering up most original holes and clues. I just want to di it right. Thanks again!!!!!

All 1969 Camaros had the rocker panel trim as standard equipment.

graemlins/thumbsup.gif Exactly right - it was a "Standard Feature" not an option - so your car would have had them.
So odds are if there gone - someone before you took them off...
I'm not sure what color your car is, so I can't tell you if your X-55 Rocker panels would have been painted Black also.

Hope Williams reply and this clear this up;
