How can you determine if the are real GM or if they are reproduction?

If you look carefully at repo console gauges the faces are almost a white type colour, as compared to a brushed type face on original gauges. Also the lettering is smaller text from original.
I compared some OER Reproduction gauges today and that was what i noticed, i am not sure if there is another supplier.
As long as you have the whole set it would not be very noticeable.
