Any speculation on why this rear has D189 on the housing but yet BU1022_E date code on the axle? I need a rear near the end of april but this one appears to have the axle code tampered with. Thanks for any info!

He probably got the casting date wrong. The stamp looks real.

He's sticking to the fact that the raised casting number is D189, is it possible that different axle tubes have been installed? Anyone care to take a stab on the value of this rear? It is close to my house!
