Ok guys I took your advise and followed the links provided, and found what I am suppose to find (I hope) Here are the numbers.
MOTOR: Driver rear 3914678 Pass rear D30 8 Pass front V65637---(tough to read)
Tranny: 3925660 P8T2B
Axle: 3894860NF BU0305G2 E
Cowl Tag is ST69 12437NOR 278602BDY
TR712 69/69PNT 02D X-33
I found out what some of the codes mean, but MARK C asked me to provide the number on the pad infront of the passenger side head and it was ???V65637 ? What do the above codes equate to. Thanks Im still learning.

P8T2B is a Muncie M21 assembled December 2nd 1968. This is a bit early for a late February (atually beginning of March) car but not impossible. Is the VIN stamped on the trasnmission near this code?
Rear Axle is a 3.73 Posi axle assembled March 5th 1969 in the Chevy gear and axle plant plant on the second shift.
The engine pad should contain an assembly code like V0225DZ indicating the car has a 302/290HP engine assembled on February 25th (in this example). As it is a Norwood plant car built after December of 68 it should not contain a VIN derivative which is what this appears to be.
Block looks to have been cast on April 30th 1968 (based on the casting number indicating it is a 68 302 or 327 2 bolt main engine. Since I don't know of an assembly plant using a V code I would guess that the V is acutally an N for Norwood. The number on the front pad is probably a partial for a 68 Camaro. Something like 18N435637. 450000 range VIN would be an early June of 68 car, 430000 range VIN would be an early May 68 car. Can't tell if its a 302 or 327 though, but it's not a 69 302, and its not original to that car.

A couple of corrections/additions:
The block was cast 4/30/68 and looks like it was assembled in May (V0503??). Those missing letters will tell what the block was.
Trans was built Dec 28th, 1967 (year code is the model year). Can't tell what the ratios are from the code.
Looks like the rear is original, trans and motor are replacements.

Cool, Thanks alot for the help, I have talked to the 3 previous owners and they all tell me that the tranny and rear end are ORIGINAL??? The 2nd owner replaced the motor when he blew it, with a motor from a 68 Z28. But if the codes dont match I guess they dont match. Thanks again atleast I have a little history behind the car now.
