hi all, i recently disassembled my engine after wrecking my 67 camaro, only to find a number of mistakes made by the previous owner. (t-shirts left under the manifold etc..) anyways after finding all these mistakes i am wondering if any of the other information he gave me about the car is true. the number on the block is GM3782870. the number on the crank is 2680. what does this tell me? does it mean i have a 350 crank in a block that was originally a 327?
any help decoding these numbers would be a great help.
thanks
ben

yeah after lifting the manifold off we found a oily (obviously) t-shirt and rags just sitting on top the lifters and rods. the reason i wrecked the car was because the steering wheel was inproperly put on and it came off while i was driving it.
the guy was a freakin jerk!!

According to "Chevrolet by the number" pg57 & 83, both are 62 thru 65. Block 3782870- is a 327 with hp of 250/300/365/375. Crank 2680 is 62 thru 65 for 327 use.
