Its a 3d week of Dec.(12C)Norwood built V-8 coupe, black standard bucket int.(712), Grecian green(H), with a black vinyl top(2).

Thanks ragtopman. I guess there's nothing there that would tell if it came with a console ? It had what I think is the wiring for one. The engine, trans, and rear have all been changed. It has multi-leaf springs, but I'm pretty sure they were not original. Thanks, Ron

You will find the info about your console on the trim plate. The info should be second line up from the bottom, the middle cluster of numbers. It might read something like:
2GLS. The 2 indicates Group options 2. Then the letters correspond to different options. They are:
B: 3 spd
E: A/C
G: Center Console
H: Heater Delete
L: 4 spd floor
M: Powerglide
R: Rear seat speaker
S: Rear antenna
u: 8 Track player

Your car won't have those codes mentioned cause that is 67 only.
An original console is mounted with special rivetnuts. They are visible underneath the car (kinda look like tubes). Inside the car, all you see is a round flange. Should be like 3 of these.

My car has those ! I used the front two to mount the console I have in it now which is a '67. I like them better than the '68 console, and my car is not all original anyway. I didn't know if all cars had them, or just the ones with consoles. I've had this car for ten years, and didn't know for sure that it came with a console or had a black vinyl top until I made this post. I don't think it's an SS, so I guess it came with a 327 ? I've been all through this car and had the gas tank out too, there's no build sheet. Thanks everyone for your help, Ron.
