Hi,
I have Flowtech Afterburner headers on my car and no exaust, as I have removed it all. Not going to run Cats so no exaust shop will work on it and I do not do welding.
I wanted a fairly quiet system but don't know if it's worth the hassle to run a complete system over the axle and out the rear.
The easiest(and least expensive) would be to
put on flanged glasspacks like Purple Hornies bolted straight to the headers. Would this approach excessively loud?

Thanks,
FrankP

Can you get a header back exhaust system from Summit or Jegs? I know the CAT problem. Around here though, you just pay cash and don'y wait for a receipt. http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif

Glassbacks are a little loud, even on stock motors. you might also be able to connect a small piece of straight pipe to each header, attach a muffler and put a set of turn downs on it.

The Glasspacks wont make it any quieter, it will just make it sound like a motorcycle. Just buy a kit from Summit or JC Whitney.
