Thanks for all your help guys... I bought the 69 Z28 today and have it in the garage now http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
Here is what I got: The body is actually better than I thought it was. No rust underneath..I got new parts: Door skins, rear quarters, all door and window moldings (new) new door handles and locks with keys. Original spare tire and jack. new front spoiler.. ALL the chrome and its in good shape. Motor runs good..I cranked it up and drove it onto the trailer. I am going through the brakes on it this weekend and then gonna take a THRILL ride. I posted some questions on the engine code and still have yet to get a code off the engine. The partial VIN and the motor code from the oil filter area is only visible with the engine and bell housing seperated..RIGHT I really want to document the car well. I talked with the previous owner that knew all the history on the car. The car was bought here locally GREENVILLE, SC . He bought it from the original owner and says the car is all original except for the headers and a different HOLLEY carb. I am excited about it and plan to get under is some more tonight and get the CODES from the trans and rear axle. The interior isnt real bad, gonna clean it some and see what's keepable and what needs to be replaced. All guages work. The previous owner I bought it from says the 94k on the odometer is original milege. Speedo and tach work also. I am gonna dig around and see if I can find the build sheet tonight. The back seats are out of it ( I have them though) so I dont expect to find a build sheet. WHERE else could the build sheet be ? Thanks again for all your input. I am sure you will here from me again. Mark from SC

Congrats Mark! I can feel your excitement right through the computer! http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

Sometimes the build sheet was glued to the top of the gas tank. But really it could be anywhere inside the car. If your Camaro hasn't been taken apart since it was new, you might just find it. And since it's Southern born and bread, it's probably in good enough shape to get info from. Good luck!

** I love Greenville, and the Blue Ridge! **

congrats and I know that feeling, had it in Feb. when I drove my beast home too.
Rumors have it that if its a Norwood car, probably no build sheet unless a rare exception. If a LA car, it might be above the tank like Joe said. But its always worth a look around, cuz you find so much more to fix while looking. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
Your wife can sit in the front seat and read her Home Remodeling books while you clank around under the hood.
