hello i have a 69 camaro with a missing cowl tag why would someone remove this.also how can you find how many owners a car has had.the guy i bought it from got it out N.C. he said the tag was missing when he got it.

Any nuber of reasons one might want to remove the cowl tag. could have been done fixing the firewall and lost before it could be put back on. The VIN is the big Number you dont want to be missing. Check the partial VIN by the Heater on the firewall and see if they match.
