O.K. I'll add my .02 here.

Couldn't find a rearend code PP for 68. Is it the original rear? There is a PP code for 67 which is a 3.31 12 bolt open. Could it be PR maybe?? The PR for 68 is a 3.31 12 bolt posi.

The MY engine code for 68 is a 396 325hp 4 bbl. auto. tranny.

This is a late 68 model Norwood-built L35/M40
car (396ci/325HP with THM400 3-speed auto).
Engine block was cast 28 June and assembled 2 July. Rear end is a 3.07 12-bolt non-posi
unit built 9 Jul at Chevrolet Gear and Axle, first shift.

Tranny numbers don't look familiar; suggest
you re-check or at least tell us where on the tranny they came from.

Fisher tag says body was built 3rd week of July 68, Le Mans Blue with black standard interior.

I found the tranny to be a 1974 TH400; application 350ci/195hp(L48) Corvette. (A. Colvin 1970-1975 #'s). Check left side of trans above oil pan for a VIN.
